  目前云计算的演进过程可以分为三个阶段,第一阶段,中小企业通过云计算实现从“无”到“有”的IT功能;第二阶段,云计算成为企业级用户IT核心应用的补充资源(云服务器已逐渐获得企业和开发者信任);第三阶段,在原生应用、人工智能和物联网驱动下,云计算成为企业IT的核心资源。当前,大多数企业正处于云计算的第二阶段,越来越多的企业开始选择将业务部署到云服务器,借助云服务器独特的弹性、可扩展性、高可用性,谋求业务提升。

  大数据、人工智能、物联网等新技术的快速发展,推动着云计算与边缘计算在架构和技术上的融合,以满足高性能计算、大数据分析的需求,以及智能终端对数据的快速采集、实时分析,最大限度地挖掘企业的业务创新能力和发展潜力。通过对云计算的持续演进,企业不仅能得到阶段性的云投资回报,还能获得不断升级云计算的能力、云和边缘技术融合的能力,以及通过云生态圈和云平台提供云服务的能力。

  尽管云计算拥有“无限”的计算和存储资源池,但当面对广泛分布的大量终端及其所采集的海量数据时,也不可避免会遇到诸如核心网络拥堵、高延迟以及可靠性无法保证的难题。为此,作为云计算的延伸扩展,雾计算(Fog Computing)的概念应运而生。雾计算的原理是通过使用边缘网络中的设备,让基于云的服务可以离物联网和传感器更近。通过雾计算,可以将一些并不需要放到云上的数据在网络边缘层直接进行处理和存储,提高数据分析处理的效率,降低时延,减少网络传输压力,提升安全性。

  此外,边缘和核心网络的组件都可以作为雾计算的基础设施。雾计算以其广泛的地理分布、带有大量网络节点的大规模传感器网络、支持高移动性和实时互动以及多样化的软硬件设备和云在线分析等特点,迅速被物联网和人工智能应用领域的企业所接受并获得广泛应用。
